Consensus or NotebookLM?

Searching outside or working with what you have
Consensus searches published literature for what you do not know. NotebookLM works only with the documents you upload. Different phases: first you find the papers, then you study them. Many research workflows use both in that order.
What NotebookLM does with your sources
Once uploaded, it lets you ask questions across all the documents, generate study guides and even a conversational audio summary. Consensus does not keep your library or work on it: each query starts fresh against the published base.
